Statement on Digital Accessibility

NEXTPRIDE strives to make this website accessible in accordance with the applicable requirements for digital accessibility.

The basis is, in particular, the requirements of the German Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0)¹ as well as the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2)².

1. Scope

This statement applies to the content currently available at nextpri.de, insofar as it is within the responsibility of NEXTPRIDE.

Content from external providers, linked third-party pages, or embedded third-party content may be excluded from this statement.

2. Conformance Status

This website is currently partially accessible. Core content such as event detail pages, search filters, result lists and legal pages is already designed for accessible use. Some interactive features do not yet fully meet all requirements.

We are continuously working to identify and remove barriers step by step, especially in dynamic forms, status messages, calendar and watchlist functions, and asynchronously loaded content.

3. Non-accessible Content

Among others, the following limitations may currently exist:

• Dynamically updated content such as search results, counters, toast messages and status indicators may not yet be announced equivalently to assistive technologies in all cases.
• Complex forms for new events, edits and correction suggestions may still require improved keyboard navigation, focus order or error messaging in individual cases.
• For interactive functions such as watchlists, internet calendars, submission review and map or route links, screen-reader output may not yet be fully self-explanatory everywhere.
• Moving elements such as countdowns, live notices or reveal animations are still being reviewed to ensure they are sufficiently reduced when reduced motion is requested.

4. Measures for Improvement

• Ongoing technical and editorial review against accessibility criteria.
• Prioritised improvements for pages with high usage.
• Step-by-step revision of older content.
• Improvement of focus states, keyboard operation and form validation in search, edit and submission areas.
• Extension of programmatic status messages for dynamic content such as search results, save actions, submissions and calendar functions.

6. Dispute Resolution Procedure

If no satisfactory response is provided to accessibility feedback, the competent conciliation or enforcement body may be involved.

The conciliation body supports out-of-court resolution of conflicts concerning accessible access to digital services.
